Jess’ Experience

“I did 8 months of co-op with DM throughout the latter years of my undergrad and they were among some of my best co-op experiences. From the firm wide events to the everyday tasks, I appreciated having such a great team of support and people to work with. I have made many friends throughout my time at DM, and I am happy to say a few date back to those co-op days! While a co-op student, I had the opportunity to try out a few lines of work – from FABS compilation and reviews, to audits and personal tax returns. It allowed me to really find what interested me most and connect with the people in the firm who worked within those areas. The foundational knowledge I learned over those co-ops helped to kick start my career in accounting.

It served as great real-world experience that was helpful in both finishing my undergrad/graduate diploma classes, and preparing for my eventual successful CFE results. I am happy to say that I have progressed from a co-op student to a manager. I am proud to look back at how far I have grown from those days as a co-op.”
