“When reflecting on my co-op experience, the main aspect that sticks out is the environment Davis Martindale has created throughout the firm. Whether it be in training, a regular work, busy season or firm events, Davis Martindale has mastered fostering a supportive, encouraging, diverse and welcoming environment. Having walked in my first day with no prior accounting experience, to say I was nervous would be an understatement. However, the training team not only provided me with the foundations to help me on my journey but were there to reassure me about aspects I was unsure of and were constant resources and people I still run questions by today.

When it comes to a regular workday, the support you feel from all levels, whether it be partners, managers or employees, creates a place that allows you to feel encouraged and never alone. It can be easy to spin yourself in circles trying to figure out a part of a file, but the key to the Davis Martindale team is that there is such a diverse set of skills and always someone willing to help.

During busy season, it can be easy to get caught up in deadlines, however Davis Martindale has a great leadership team that is focused on not only meeting those deadlines but providing an environment that also values individuals mental and physical health. Being a co-op student, it was evident that Davis Martindale believes that the success of the team is fostered through happy and healthy individuals.

Davis Martindale has truly lived up to their core value of making relationships matter and this is engraved through all levels of the firm. Whether it be eating lunch together in the plaza, lawn bowling, or running in a local charity fundraiser, DM encourages building relationships and understands the true value of strong relationships!
